we decided to make use of the green season specials out hotels offer and stayed at the lodge on a dinner, bed and breakfast with game drives, treat yourself, do everything, we had a cabin lookinf out onto the waterhole and could see the rhino with her calf,the room was small but more than adeqaute, tv, bar fridge, a little stoep, walking distance to main area where lounge and bar is, swimming pool for summer, the game drives were also very interesting with a few 4×4′s loaded with the guests all leave at the same time but being in radio contact we knew where to find the lions and cheetahs. the food was excellent, the servie was great,

My mom and I stayed for 4 nights at the Garden Route Game Lodge. We’ve stayed at many similar lodges before, but this stay was a dream come true! We had a lovely room, very friendly service, guides with good knowledge of the wildlove AND FLORA! fOOD WAS EXCELLENT!
Garden Route Game Lodge will defnately see me again

Friendly and nice Atmosphere

After spending more than a week touring the Garden Route and the fantastic beaches, we finished off our trip this time by staying 2 nights at the Garden Route Game Lodge. A bit different from what we have experienced on previous trips close to the Kruger Park but very impressive and well organised. Talented, skillful and pleasant guides added to the experience and we got a fairly good understanding of the amount of work and energy everybody is putting into restoring the wild life that once existed before we humans started to develop it. Keep up the good work.

An awesome experience at the Garden Route Game Lodge

We stayed for 1 night at the Garden Route Game Lodge Reserve and had a memorable stay. This reserve is approx. 4hr drive from Cape Town and includes 2 games drives in the morning and at dusk on an open top 4×4. The staff were very friendly and the food was excellent with a huge selection to choose from, there were various game meat dishes which was just delicious. The game drives were fantastic and we saw all of the major wildlifes. Our guide was very knowledgeable and funny and made the drives very interesting.

Our chalet was clean and luxurious and well furnished. The private deck also had an amazing view overlooking the pond.

This is a great game reserve and I would highly recommend this lodge to anyone.

A Developing Game Park

Just a few kilometers away from the coast, this game park can offer a comfortable and suggestive accomodation to visitors that want to join a safari experience. The park provides excellent guides that will explain everything they know about the animals living in their area. Private game farms should be helped in buying more land in order to protect the local flora and fauna, too often endangered by the human activities.
We suggest the overnight stay in order to fully enjoy the safari experience.

Excellent Quick Break

We had an excellent time. Staff were fantastic from the minute we arrived and were greeted at our car. Guide Abri was very knowledgeable and we really enjoyed all the game drives.
This is a great place for a quick one or 2 night break-away.

Great Family Destination

This was a great family destination. The rooms were great, the food was well priced, and was kid friendly. Staff were helpful, there was a play area for the kids, and we were put onto a game drive with another family so that children weren’t a problem on the drive.

This place is wonderfull. It is just the best place to go for a break away. The staff are very friendly. Any thing you ask they’ve got a answer for you. Our tour guide was a person with the best knowledge of the animals and the field, his name is Abrie. He was the best guide you can ask for.The food they serve was out of the books. It was excellent. There is no better word to discribe it. We will recommend this place to everybody for a break

Quite an Adventure

The staff were very kind, helpful and pleasant all the time. We had a spectacular meal every day and everything was very nice. Great Service. We enjoyed our two nights there, and we did three rides and and every time was different route. We really enjoyed our Safari rides, Quite an adventure!  Kourney, the guide, was knowledgeable and professional.

Room Tip: The Cottages had great view.

The foaling of zebras started last month and so far we already have 5 new foals. There are still a few mares that are due soon, to increase our zebra population.
