The Garden Route Game Lodge hosted the first wedding in the new Serengeti's restaurant with the marriage of Hein Schoeman to Kim Phillips. The ceremony took place in the Labola chapel with the reception being hosted in the Serengeti's restaurant. The celebration caught the attention of some of the game reserve's residents who came to see what all the fuss was about.
